Nowell Family Updates
Our Student Pastor, Tim Nowell, his wife, Kim, and their daughter, Ali, were hospitalized on April 21 after a gas explosion at their home. We will keep this page updated as we get more details and find ways to support them on their recovery journey.
Message from Lead Pastor Jason Uptmore
Tim has faithfully served our Student Ministry for over 17 years, and the Nowells are deeply woven into the fabric of who we are — we love them, and we know you do too. We recognize the road ahead may be long, but we are committed to walking it with them. This is the church. This is family. We come together in hard moments, care for one another, and point each other to the hope we have in Jesus Christ that never wavers.

how YOU CAN help
PRAYER
One of the most powerful ways we can support the Nowell family is by lifting them up in prayer. Pray for healing, strength, and peace that surpasses understanding for Tim, Kim, and Ali. Pray for the doctors and medical teams to have wisdom as they care for their medical needs. Pray that Kaitlyn and the family would feel God's presence and comfort, and have wisdom as they walk alongside Tim, Kim, & Ali in recovery.
PRIVACY
We ask that you respect and honor the family’s privacy during this time. One of the most tangible ways we can love them well is by creating space for them to process and heal without added pressure.
PATIENCE
As details continue to unfold, we ask for your patience as we gather accurate information and discern the best ways to care for the Nowell family. We want to be thoughtful, clear, and unified in how we respond. We will remain in close contact with the family and will update this page as we receive new information and identify ways you can be involved.
PARTICIPATION
Friends of the family have created a *spotfund account and Caring Bridge page. You can find the latest updates and donate directly to the family using the links above.
If you have questions, please email info@waysidechapel.org rather than contacting the church office by phone.
