New Hope Connection
New Hope Connection (NHC) envisions a day when refugees and immigrants are accepted, assimilated, and adopted into the San Antonio community – equipped to succeed in all levels of life and welcomed with the authentic love of Christ.
Through the dynamic partnerships of churches, businesses, organizations, schools, and individuals, NHC creates many initiatives and projects, including English Second Language (ESL) classes, health awareness and education, life-skills training, and generationally focused activities. As a result, many local residents develop loving relationships with refugees and immigrants, allowing Christ’s love to shine into these relationships. In addition, NHC comes alongside the children with homework help, tutoring, and community engagement with games and activities that offer practical ways to help the kids grow into mature adults and witness Christian love and care.
We train volunteers in teaching ESL, understanding refugee cultures, and learning how to reach refugees and immigrants for Christ.
