Discipleship Tape Ministries
Discipleship Tape Ministries came about organically as a result of individuals who taped Russell Kelfer’s weekly Bible study lessons (in the beginning often on their own handheld cassette recorders) and then shared them with others. Russell, himself, never endeavored to pastor a church, rather he humbly shared his thoughts on the Scriptures letting the Holy Spirit flow through him.
The ministry’s purpose is to distribute materials on practical spiritual growth, especially to people in the world who may lack the accessibility or resources to obtain these materials. DTM has always relied upon God to move people in various ways to provide for the monetary needs required by the ministry to meet these goals.
Contained within the pages of their website you will find more than 780 lessons written and spoken by Russell to small Bible study groups in his home over the course of several decades. In addition to audio and printed materials/transcripts for these lessons, you can also find a collection of books and poems authored by him.
