Volunteer Opportunities

GREATEST NEED: Spanish Speaking  Kid’s Club Team Member/Teacher
Many students at Colonial Hills come from Spanish-only households and have little exposure to english. You’re involvement as a Spanish Speaking Team Member/Teacher means that students will get to hear the gospel in their own language without needing an interpretation.

Student Mentor
Become a child’s buddy, and visit them once a week during the time and day of your choice (school days and hours only). This is a weekly commitment for September through May.

Teacher Aide
Help a teacher with preparing materials, tutoring students, etc. once a week during the time and day of your choice (school days and hours only) for a minimum of two hours. This is a weekly commitment for September through May.

Kids’ Club Team Member
Kids’ Club is a time when students and volunteers come for music, games, snacks, scripture memorization, Bible lessons, and homework help. It occurs on Tuesdays after school in September through May and is held on the school campus. This is a weekly commitment of 2-4 hours each Tuesday for September through April along with a training in August.

Prayer Team Member
Prayer praises and requests are sent out once per month.

Encouragement Team Member
Come and meet fellow volunteers to pray for the teachers and assemble encouragement gifts for them. The team typically meets the second Thursday morning in the months of September through November and January through April.

Special Projects Team Member
Special projects may include landscaping, grounds clean up, packing/delivering food boxes,  and helping with the bike rodeo, book fair, sidewalk chalk painting (the week before Spring Break), etc. There is no minimum commitment; just help when you can!

Teacher Aide (Grade Level)
Help all teachers across a grade level with making copies, filing, preparing materials, etc. once a week during the time and day of your choice (school days and hours only) for a minimum of two hours. This is a weekly commitment for September through May.
