Wayside Kids is celebrating another year of reaching kids’ hearts for Jesus and inspiring them to be His world changers. Nursery Childcare staff and volunteers loved and cared for our babies’ needs throughout the year. Great Expectation Ministry touched the lives of eight families through prayer and encouragement. Sixteen children were dedicated to the Lord. Preschoolers Faithful shepherds, praise leaders, and Bible teachers led the preschoolers as they learned Bible truths and participated in worship during Sunday school. Kids Together and our “God and Me” curriculum provided three days of midweek programs that introduced the kids to God and His love. Elementary Kids were challenged every Sunday to know and trust God through large and small group experiences by faithful volunteers. They participated in worship regularly, sang in church services, and led the Family Christmas Eve service. Thirty-eight fifth graders were launched into the middle school ministry. Vacation Bible School (VBS) At Monumental VBS, kids celebrated God’s greatness! It was an incredible week with 520 kids in attendance, served by 370 volunteers. 127 children were counseled about their faith. The VBS mission project provided $19,140 for food, hygiene products, and Bibles for the kids served by African New Life in Rwanda.
