And kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” 30 And they spit on him and took the reed and struck him on the head. 31 And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the robe and put his own clothes on him and led him away to crucify him. What are practical ways you can stop and meditate on the penalty Jesus endured for you this Easter? • How should remembrance of the several ways Jesus was punished in our place change our daily perspective in life? In what situations in your life can you be encouraged to know the punishment Jesus took on your behalf?
