Advent 2022

We read in Colossians 1 that all of the “fullness” of God dwelt in Jesus, the Prince of Peace. He came “to reconcile all things to Himself, having made peace through the blood of His cross.” (Colossians 1:20) As we’ve seen in our sermon series in Philippians, Jesus “emptiedhimself, takingtheformof abondservant, andbeing made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.” (Philippians 2:7-8) • This humble Prince of Peace came to earth, not to rule and reign from a lofty place. But He went low to die for us and to restore us in a right relationship to the Father. He came to bring peace. • In the midst of a season that can bring about stress and anxiety, how can you rest in the peace of Christ? • Memorize Isaiah 26:3. How has Jesus been the Prince of Peace in your life? Will Davis Stone Oak Campus Pastor 36 We encourage you to take time to worship and thank God for His faithfulness in being our Prince of Peace!
