2022 Annual Report

AGAPE MINISTRIES The Agape/AMEN Ministries’ primary mission is to demonstrate the love of Christ to those attending Wayside Chapel by providing assistance & service in times of need. Thanks be to God that Agape/AMEN Ministries are possible with God’s provision of 280 volunteers and donations: Monthly encouragement cards are sent to those unable to attend services. Bereavement notes are written to those who have lost an immediate family member and on the one year anniversary of that loss. Nursing Home/Shut-in Visitation, Hospital Visitation, Funeral Ministry, Share Care, and the Prayer Line along with the Monday prayer groups that meet 1-3 PM & 4-6 PM in 107 Ivywood demonstrate a spirit of caring to those in need. Providing Encouragement Manna Meals, Holiday Turkeys & Trimmings, and the Food Pantry provide food for times of special need. Basic Home Repair, Automobile Repair, the Furniture Shed and the Agape Fund helps those with immediate, non-food needs. Donated material goods are also shared with Wayside church plants, families in need, and transients. Providing Food & Assistance We have funeral service teams that help families plan the services along with usher and reception teams. A brochure to assist with planning a memorial service is available. Our Care & Comfort Refreshed group provides encouragement and support for women who are facing the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term effects of cancer. We also provide several outreach lunches throughout the year for the Christian Medical & Dental Association. Support Groups Lynn Hamilton, Director of Agape & 55 Plus Ministries
