Elementary Ministries FAQs

  • How do I sign my child up on Sunday mornings?
    A volunteer at the Children’s Ministry Center will ask you to fill out a registration card that provides important information about your child. You will be directed to the location where you will sign your child into a class.
  • What do I need to know about the drop-off and pick-up procedures?
    When you drop-off your child, indicate any allergies or special needs. Be sure to write down your location in case we need to find you. If you drop-off at the 9:15 hour and plan to stay for the 11:00 hour, please inform us if your child will attend Kidz Club or KIDMO. Parents of children in grades 1-4 must drop-off and pick-up their children. 5th and 6th graders can sign themselves in and be dismissed without a parent as long as the parent has signed a consent form.
  • How do I know if my child should stay home due to sickness?
    We do not accept children who have:
         -
    a temperature in the last 24 hours
        
    yellow or greenish mucus from eyes or nose
        
    diarrhea
        
    been on antibiotics less than 24 hours
        
    have vomited within the last 24 hours 
     
  • Am I required to help in my child’s room?
    Parents are encouraged to serve in their child’s class because it allows them to experience first hand what their child experiences at Sunday school. There are various other ways parents can support the Sunday school, such as assisting with snacks, worship, greeting, or crafts.
